Simple Iced Tea Recipes to Jazz Up Your Tea
Iced tea doesn't have to be just tea and ice. By introducing a couple of ingredients like fruits, herbs, and sparkling water, you can make your tea so much more exciting! Follow our step-by-step guide below to create: Lemon Basil Oolong Tea, Sparkling Strawberry Jasmine Tea, Black Tea Ice Cube Latte, and Baozhong Tea with Herb & Fruit Ice. Elevate your regular cup of tea with these four recipes, all while preserving the original taste of tea that you love!
Lemon Basil Oolong Tea
You will need:
• ½ a lemon, thinly sliced
• 6 fresh basil leaves
• 3 cups of hot, boiled water
• 2 sachets of Us Two Tea's Oolong tea
• Pitcher
• Mason jar
• Raw honey (optional)
Instructions:Â
- Place 2 sachets of oolong tea in the pitcher and pour freshly boiled water. Steep the tea sachets for at least 15 minutes. Remove the tea sachets
- Let the tea cool down and refrigerate for 3-4 hoursÂ
- In a 1 quart mason jar, throw in your lemon slices and basil leaves. Pour the cooled oolong tea over the ingredients
- Optional: add honey or ice
Tip: Instead of steeping the oolong tea in hot water, you can opt for the cold brew method
Sparkling Strawberry Jasmine Tea
You will need:
• 1 cup of hot, boiled water
• 1 sachet of Us Two Tea's Jasmine tea
• 1 can of sparkling water
• 5 strawberries
• Sweetener of your choice: sugar, maple syrup, or agave
• Rosemary (optional for decoration)
Instructions:Â Â
- Steep the jasmine tea sachet in freshly boiled water for 5-10 minutes depending on how strong you like your tea
- Let the tea cool down and refrigerate until cold
- Put the strawberries and sugar in the same container and let it sit for at least 15 minutes. You can also, puree the strawberries or mash it with a fork
- Grab your glass and add ice, the sugared strawberries, and cold jasmine tea. Pour in your sparkling water (we recommend 2:1 ratio of tea to sparkling water) and sweeten to your likingÂ
- Optional: top with a piece of rosemary
Tip: Add some frozen strawberries to step 4 for a thicker consistency. You can also add your favorite liquor to make a fruity cocktail!
Black Tea Ice Cube Latte
You will need:Â
• 2 sachets of Us Two Tea's Black tea
• 2 cups of hot, boiled water
• Ice cube tray
• Milk
• Glass cup or mason jarÂ
Instructions:
- Steep the black tea sachets for 6 minutes. The tea should be a deep amber color
- Let the tea cool down Â
- Pour the cooled black tea into an ice cube tray and freeze
- In a cup, add the black tea ice cubes and pour cold milk at a 1:1 ratio
- Give it a gentle stir and enjoy!
Tip: Use a glass cup to watch the black tea swirling in the milk as the ice cubes melt
Baozhong Tea with Herb & Fruit Ice
You will need:Â
• Raspberries
• Mint LeavesÂ
• Basil Leaves
• Thinly sliced lemon
• Thinly sliced cucumber
• 3 cups of hot, boiled water
• One pitcher
• 2 sachets of Us Two Tea’s Baozhong Tea
Instructions:Â
- To make the ice cubes: grab your raspberries, mint and basil leaves, lemons, and cucumbers and place them in your ice cube tray. Pour filtered water over the ingredients and freeze
- Place two sachets of baozhong tea in the pitcher. Pour 12 oz of freshly boiled water in the pitcher and steep for 5 minutes
- Remove the tea sachets and let the baozhong tea cool down
- Place the herb & fruit ice cubes in a glass, pour baozhong tea over the ice cubes and enjoy!
